The Cyclone family (gen 1) is supported in Quartus II 13.0sp1. See attached screen shot. Maybe you need to go back through the install process to enable that family.

Thanks for answers. The solution shows up as following:
The log file of installation reports that everything went OK.
After a search I found out with the Software Selector that version 13.0SP1 of Quartus 2 covers cyclone I, as you showed above, BUT NOT in the free web version that I am using.
