Compile error

I am recompiling an old project with Quartus II 12.1 and the existing settings in the project.

First I got this error.

Error (125091): Tcl error: ERROR: Illegal assignment: IP_GENERATED_DEVICE_FAMILY. Specify a legal assignment name.

while executing

"set_global_assignment -name IP_GENERATED_DEVICE_FAMILY "{Cyclone IV E}""

(file "ddr_o.qip" line 3)

Info (125063): set_global_assignment -name IP_TOOL_VERSION 14.0 -qip ddr_o.qip

New to Quartus. I'd appreciate it any suggestions.

Problem solved by reversing the ddr_o.qip file back to previous version.

    Hi,

This error most probably due to different version being used. You can either recreate the IP from scratch to sort this out.

    Thanks,
