Clock Frequency

Hi, i have desiqned the IJVM (datapath,ALU,ram) which executes a microprogram. I want to show the results in the LCD monitor on DE2 board and i have a problem with the maxfrequency of the clock that i should choose in the time analysis settings, in order to have correct results in the waveform. Is there a standar way to choose the fmax ?
