Changing speed grades - recompilation requirement

Hello,

I'd like to migrate an FPGA design from EP3C40F780C8N to EP3C40F780C6 (same device and footprint but with higher speed grade).

Question: will this require re-compilation ?

    Hello,


    Thank you for reaching out to Intel FPGA Community.


    You probably can try testing the current programming file to see if it works because as far as I know, programming files are speed grade and temperature grade independent.


    Otherwise, you may need to recompile.
