cannot install sp2 on quartus 9.1

Hi,

I am running Ubuntu 9.10, and I am trying to install sp2 on already installed Quartus 9.1. As simple as this seems, I find this error very ridiculous. So I downloaded 91sp2_quartus_linux.tar from the altera website, and untar it. I ran the install_patch script and this is what I get:

patch file (qpatch.gz) is located (default: /home/ab/Downloads/91sp2):

Sorry, 'qpatch.gz' is not located in '/home/ab/Downloads/91sp2'

It keeps on saying that qpatch.gz is not located in /home/ab/Downloads/91sp2 even though it is CLEARLY there!!! what is going on???
