Can not create the jam file

In order to do In System Programming for the Stratix4GX530's flash devices, I need to create the .jam file from .pof file. I am using File --> Create JAM SVF ISC ... option in the Quartus II programmer GUI. But when I do that, I am getting following error

Can't create JAM, SVF or ISC file because EP4SGX530/ES cannot be determined

Do you happen to know the reason why I may be getting this error?

By the way I am using following appnote to support ISP in our project. Page 14-6 describes how to create the jam file.
