archiving Qsys projects

What's the best way to archive a project that contains Qsys files? This didn't work with the default settings in 13.0.1 when I tried it yesterday and did not work when I tried it in Quartus Prime 15.1.1 a couple of weeks ago. By didn't work I mean that the default archive settings did not include all required files. I've seen the "workaround" in the answers database of adding files manually in the advanced settings, but that's bogus. If the project compiles in Quartus then Quartus knows what files are needed to archive the project. This should be a pushbutton operation that doesn't require manually crawling through the bowels of Qsys and IP directories to grab files. This is more than a convenience given that Altera support often requests .qar files as part of the SR process.

Is this problem ever going to get fixed? Or is there a better workaround than manually browsing for files within the archiving utility?
