Seriously, "Just forget about it", estimating performance is a
required feature for hardware OpenCL compiler. Do not just forget about it, open service request to Intel to put 13.1 throughput estimates back into the tools or do something better, so users can see impact of code changes before waiting 2-8 hors before hardware is built.

In a conference I asked members of Altera's OpenCL team in person about that throughput estimation; they explicitly said they removed it because it was completely inaccurate. Until they come up with a cycle-accurate emulator, giving accurate performance predictions will be impossible.
