When compiling a design ,I encouter an error : Out of memory in module quartus_map.exe(2127 megabytes used). Does it mean the memory of my computer is not enough for quartus to fulfill the compilation? Thanks !
Honored ContributorYes your design is too large for the amount of RAM you have.
On 32-bit windows, I think processes are limited to about 2GB of memory even if the computer has 4GB. The only way to use more memory is therefore to get 64-bit windows.Honored ContributorAccording to Quartus readme.txt, designs for all Altera FPGA devices, except for Stratix IV can be handled with 4 GB memory and 32-Bit Windows.
