Altera Quartus II bin directory

Hi all,

I am developing a program that uses Altera Quartus II bin directory to synthesis, place and route ... etc. using the command line in the background. My question is can I extend the bin directory to be able to use it in new computers even if Altera Quartus II is not installed? if yes How ? and Do I need any license for that?

Thank you ,

Regards,

AB

    You will need Quartus installed to run any of the compilation functions.

    Extend = copy?

    Not necessary a copy. I meant if there any way to use the Quartus bin directory without installing Quartus?

    Is this any way that I can use Quartusii Functionalities without installing it? Does Altera offers any extension framework or API to the Quartus tool rather that TCL that most of the time uses the bin directory??

    Unfortunately not.

    I believe installation is the only way to get the Quartus II running as expected in your computer.

    Quartus only has stand-alone Programmer,

    but not the stand-alone synthesis/place&route tool.
