8*8*8 Led cube using altera DE0 !!

can any one help me on the this idea ? i want to code an 8*8*8 led cube "blue leds" i need someone help me in the idea of how it will work and i will make the code bs i dont know start from whe...

I made a 10*10*10 LED cube in the past, what would you like to know?

p.s. it was kind of boring in the end. Its not like you have a nice 3D view of the display; usually the LEDs are blocking each other.
