When you start Quartus, a dialog box appears to give you the option of how you want to license it, including the 30 day trial.

When I start Quartus Pro , a dialog box DOES NOT APPEAR.

      No, not there. A dialog box pops open when you start Quartus if it is unlicensed. But if that is grayed out like you show, perhaps you've already used the 30 day license on that machine?

      The easiest thing to do if you are in a rush and you don't want to purchase a license yet would be to just install Quartus on another computer.
