"-g" argument of vsim command not propagated

Hello,

I have trouble using Questa-Intel with the Starter Edition License :
I have generic values in my top level which are set through the vsim command.

Example : vsim -gGENERIC_VAL=16 .....

It seems that the value defined with the "-g" argument is not propagated to my simulated design.
Is it a known limitation using the Starter Edition or am I missing something here ?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

thab

  • I think you need to use the vopt command instead of vsim.

Reference: Questa Sim User Manual page v2022.1, page 99
