Using the VGA-Adapter with Terasic DE1-SoC

Hello,

I followed this guide :http://www-ug.eecg.utoronto.ca/msl/nios_devices_soc/dev_vga.html, which shows how to use the VGA-Adapter. But when compiling the example code for the ARM i get a segmentation fault error. Can someone tell me what is the problem behind this error?
