TSE MAC-8bit configuration Netx

I'm using netx to configure and creating packets with TSE mac. It works well on TSE mac with 32 bit fifo config. At some point of time I wanted to change the fifo to 8 bit configuration and created the new fit resulted in the breakdown: found the LINK_STATUS always 0, while debugging the code. Please help!!
