SDcard card detection problem

working on NIOS tool ,I am not able to check whether SDcard is present or Not, .I can see aux_reg bit '1' is high always, when i remove sdcard and reinsert sdcard aux_reg is high only.is there any problem with IPcore or do we need to use any function in code.??
