run linux in Cyclone II Board

Hi all,

I have an Altera Cyclone II EP2C8Q208 FPGA Nios II core board, my task is to build NIOS II processor and run linux on it. I am googling it a lot but could not find a good simple step by step tutorial yet. I am a beginner pls help me.

I really need it for my engineering project pls help

    If you want to run Linux on an Nios2 cpu system, you need at least 50,000 LEs and 600,000 bits embedded memories. So I think Cyclone II EP2C8Q208 is too small (and slow) to do it.
