How to read from file using nios11 software

Hello

I am developing system using NIOS 11 processor. I would like to process data from file and process it using nios11 . How can we access data from file for the following :

1)How is it achievable in simulations ?

2)and for real hardware ?

what are the steps for the same.

    Hi, Where are you going to save this file? for example SD, DDR etc There are some examples online on how to save/edit files using NIOS II processor. for example using SD Card IP Core.
