the Toolchain "nios2gcc-20080203.tar.bz2" is only for the noMMU Version. Maybe you can ask for "wrs-linux-4.1-176-nios2-wrs-linux-gnu.src.tar.bz2" here in the mailing list: http://sopc.et.ntust.edu.tw/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/nios2-dev I think there are more people who can help you than in the forum.
