DE1-SoC Board no output to console

Hi I have been trying for days now to get my DE1-SoC board to boot the HPS from micro SD. I have tried writing the example images to the micro sd but there is just no output to the console. Also have tried setting the MSEL switches to different positions but no luck. Please let me know if you guys have any suggestions.

SOLVED: Turns out it was my sd readers fault. I only had a card reader built into a USB GSM modem, the way this device is partitioned probably messing with the writing of the sd image. :oops:
