Not able Update the symbol block ports in schematic of bdf even though background files updated.

Good Morning..!

We are facing one peculiar problem with the tool that even though the background .vhd and other files updated the update symbol is not giving those ports.

I hope you could have seen things like this often but because we are new to this unable to do. I hope this might be a small problem only. Will you help me in solving this.

    Hi,

    Actually I am not getting the exact scenario by looking at the above post but I can suggest you,

    Try by deleting the symbol file & regenerate it again.

    Better way is, close the Quartus tool & delete the db, incremental_db directories from project directory & check after performing full compilation.

      Figured out the problem, it actually depends on the library folders that we add also. Unfortunately, project copied from some source, so library folder was there as previous path. Now updated that path and could able to see the new ports.
