Customer has 3 quartus prime standard licenses and 1 nios II embedded suite license. Are additional seats of NIOSII embedded suite included in the original purchase or would they have to buy more ...

Referring to https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/support/support-resources/support-centers/licensing.html, Nios® II Embedded Design Suite tool is free but you must have a seat license to the Nios II IP core or a development kit to generate an FPGA programming file and flash programming files. There is no license fee for developing software using only the Nios II Software Build Tools for Eclipse

DNewm1Hi KYeoh, Thanks for your response. I’m not sure if I completely understand it though. If they currently have a seat license for the NIOS II IP Core would they need additional seat licenses for other users to run the tool and generate outputs simultaneously? If so, are those additional seats a purchased item? Hi Danny,
The Nios® II Embedded Design Suite tool itself does not require additional license if customer has Quartus Standard/Pro license. For NIOS II IP, additional license is required if customer wants to compile simultaneously.
