Arria 10 : QSFP+ supporting 40GbE and 10GbE

Hi,

I'm using Arria 10 .

I would like to design QSFP+ interface that will support 40GbE optical modules and 10GbE optical module.

I would like to be able to change from 40GbE to 10GbE on the fly.

It seems as 40GbE MAC/PHY IP is permanently connected to pins.

Please suggest a way to switch between 40GbE MAC/PHY IP to 10GbE MAC.

      Hi dlim

Thank you for the prompt response.

I believe that this is an important functionality that is currently missing from your FPGA device./IP

      A universal Ethernet interface. 1G, 4x1G, 10G, 4x10G

Does such solution appear in future roadmap ?

      Thanks

      Doron

Hi Doron, I don't see it on Stratix 10 roadmap so far. Perhaps you can engage with Intel FPGA FAE and channel your business opportunity back to Intel FPGA marketing. Typically marketing team is the one that make the call on supported IP feature. Thanks. Regards, dlim
