USB-Blaster for Windows 11

Hello all I am having problem installing USB-Blaster in DE0 for Windows 11. It cannot find the driver in the specified directory. Is there any way to run this on Windows 11? Thanks for your help ...

    Intel/Altera's official statement is Quartus software is not yet supported on Windows 11, so don't expect it to work.

I downloaded Quartus Prime 22.1 today, and the provided Blaster driver still is refused for an expired certificate. How can Intel afford to provide drivers with expired certificates? For more than a year, the driver installation requires jumping through hoops and searching driver patches for the most current versions of your toolchain.

Can it really be necessary to resolve this by downloading a third-party driver?

      Hi, @Roger36.

      I have followed your post, but I still can't get it to work under Windows 11. It still gives me an error that it cannot load the driver:

      ------------

      Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

      {Bad Image}
      %hs is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x

      Is there anything else that you can think of that you did in order to get it to work under Windows 11? I'm going to have to run a VM with Win 10 in the meantime.

      I know Win 11 isn't supported and I'm not expecting you to know the answer. I just thought I would give it a shot to see if you have any other thoughts.

      Hi Roger36,

      I have followed your instructions as far as possible:

      - Installation of the linked driver worked successfully, but in Device Manager, the USB Blaster still shows up as "unknown device".

      - Updating the driver is not possible, as Windows does not recognize the driver update as a match for the device.

      Any more input on this will be very welcome.
