4 years agoWow that is a blast from the past. That is the Intel part number for a CPLD device introduced in the early 1990s.
Intel sold the technology to Altera back in 1995 or so. Altera relabeled it the 'EP9xx' series CPLD.
Discontinued/EOL by Altera in 2006. No direct replacement available.
You can buy used/NOS parts from some online vendors. Beware of counterfeit parts, tho.
Atmel/Microchip still produces a similar capability CPLD part, the ATF15xx series.
Some of these might be similar to the EP9xx series in terms of capability (packaging, 5V supply, number of macrocells/clocks).
Doubtful there is an exact replacement.
