"SOF Data item missing input file"

I have been trying to get a PFL in an EPM2210 to program a chain of an EPSGX530 and a EP4SE530 from a 29G512 CFI FLASH without success.

I have a circuit similar to that attached except there are 2 FPGAS with NCEO of first tied to NCE of second.

Altera documentation on this subject is very poor and does not cover nearly enough possibilities.

I need to convert 2 SOF files to one POF file. See attached.

1) What mode is correct for this - Active Parallel or Fast Passive parallel x8 ? (i.e does this refer to FLASH connection (x16) or FPGA connection (x8) )

2) I add the SOFs in the correct order to the Low_Byte as directed by AN478. When is click "Generate" I get the "SOF Data item missing input file" error message.

3) Some documentation mentions programming Config Bits etc. Some other does not. Do I need to do this ?

Can you please explainn what I am doing wrong ?
