Replacement for obsolete FPGA

Does anyone have a recommended replacement for a discontinued FPGA? We use the Intel / Altera EPF10K50EQC208-1. Would need the same package, of course.

So are you looking for a replacement device to just 'drop in' to an existing circuit design, with no changes in the design? IE, it must be footprint compatible.

Or a replacement device with the same, or more, of equivalent capability I/Os? And you are willing to change the PCB to accommodate it.

Why the (hard) requirement for the same package?

Coding changes would be OK. But a different package would require a board spin, which takes time and money, of course. This is a low-volume product for us, so we're looking to minimize costs.

  • Hi Gary,

Thank you for contacting Intel Community.

Please note that EPF10K50EQC208-1 is a discontinued product with NO replacement of the device. However, we can suggest you to get a new package that has almost the same logic element and of course it need to be design again.
