You can check the IP cores Summary to find out exactly which core in your design requires a license. Then you can check in the License Setup window if the license is properly installed.

In Quartus 11.1 (and most probably in most recent versions of Quartus), the IP Cores Summary can be found in the Compilation Report > Analysis & Synthesis > IP Cores Summary.

The License Setup window can be called from the Tools menu.
