Quartus II 11.1sp1 Programmer- Fatal error during .pof file opening

What's the error announcement?

Is the error coming up as soon as you attach the POF to the chain? or when you are attempting to program your device?

Are you in Active Serial Mode, and not JTAG mode?

It appears as soon as I click "Open" on the POF file.

I'm in JTAG mode.

What do you think it's about?:rolleyes:

You should have received a message that stated:

"Cannot add target device EPCSXX to device chain when in current programming mode"

when you added the .pof in JTAG mode. I just tried it with 11.1 with hotfix 0.12 installed.

I would open a support with Altera on this.

Also try it with a different .pof file and the same pof on a different machine if you have one available..

It works on Version 7(stand alone programmer)..with the current . pof :rolleyes:

where can I download the 0.12 hotfix?:huh:

SP1 is actually newer than 11.1 with hotfix 0.12. So you do not need that.

The hotfix was related to a fifo timing issue with 11.1 (no service pack) So it isn't related to your problem.

I think your best bet is to open a service request at this point.
