Pull up on configuration pin of Cyclon II

I am planning to use 4.7K pull up for Config ,nstatus and conf_done pin insted of 10K as mention in datasheet ,Please advice what will be the problem in using strong pullup. The reson is part standardisation as 4.7K is used in multiple place

    Apparently you are assuming a problem, why? Altera is exactly specifying 10 k without additional comments. So nobody will know about a problem unless he tried different values. But I guess, noone will.

    You can safely use 4k7. In all cases the current will be less than 1 mA which is far below the (almost any) Iol specified in the datasheet.
