problem with size of sof file

I'm using quartus II, in my project I have a sof file of a size of 2412 Ko,

I don't even modificate anything in my quartus direcotry project

and when I start assembler to generate a new sof file, I should

have the same the same size for my new sof file, but I have a

new sof file of 3459 Ko. So, I wanted to know why I have this problem,

and if there is a way or an option that could make me generate

a sof file with the wanted size ?

    -First:

    Have you changed something like the quartus version?

    The first assembly was made by you under the same settings and Quartus Version?

    -Second:

    Why is it so important for you to have a smaller sof? Is it responsible for anything to have a size of 2412KB?

    I didn't change of version for quartus, the first assembly wasn't made

    by me, but I use exactly the same settings as this first assembly.

    I need a smaller sof (top_fpga_opg_master.sof) because this one is

    implemented in cof file, with a memory map that is predefined,

    that I will convert in .jic.

    yes I did it, I generated a new .jic file when I compressed my .sof file,

    but unfortunately the new .jic file doesn't work :(

    For more information I work on cyclone III, with the EPCS 64 flash,

    my top_fpga_opg_master.sof is of type EP3C80 and my

    top_fpga_opg_horloge.sof is of type EP3C16 ; maybe I

    have to check one option that I would have forget in

    assignements -> Device or somewhere else !

    problem was with auto device selected by the fitter, just had to select specific device

    and choose in the list EP3C80 for cyclone III :p

    I just wanted to know if in assignements -> device -> device and pin options -> config -> config device I have to select EPCS64 or let the

    Use config device in auto ?
