problem of install the NIOS2eds & modelsim

I have a problem of installation of NIOS2eds & modelsim under ubuntu 8.10 I have to install at first the quartus 9.1 SP1 Web edition, then that one I install nios2eds the following message appear...

linux software downloads.

quartus ii web edition software v9.1 service pack 1 (beta)

nios ii embedded design suite (1)

modelsim®-altera® starter edition v6.5b for quartus ii software v9.1
