I am currently working on a Cyclone V :5CEFA4U19C7. It has a Nios II processor in it. I want to know if i will be able to do a soft reset for that processor. If so , kindly guide me through the procedure. Thanks, Sid

There is advantages and drawbacks on each approach, therefore you should assess which one meet your need. Anyway, Nios2 already provide an API for that: https://www.altera.com/support/support-resources/knowledge-base/solutions/rd05062005_584.html
