Max Plus .scf Problem

I am a student trying to learn this program so I can do an assignment. I can save the editor file but when I try to save the simulator file(.scf) it says that the directory I am using doesn't exist. I am saving it to the c:/system32 file. The .scf file will not save into the save directory as the .gdf. Could anyone help?

    is there any reason you can't use Quartus II instead of MAX+PLUS II?

    My professor gave us the program to download so I would say I have to use Max Plus.
