installing 11.1sp2_259_quartus_free_linux on 64 bit Centos

I am trying to install an older version of Altera Quartus II webedition. (11.1sp2_259_quartus_free_linux) First it says it is only supported

on 32 bit operating systems. I am running Centos 6.5, 64 bit. That should not be a problem for me since

I know Centos 6.5, 64 bit can run 32 bit software.

However, when I try to instal it it fails that altera.log reads:

ImportError: libfreetype.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Now I think that I need a 32 bit version of the libfreetype.so.6 library file.

I am not sure what the file is called and where I can find it. Does it have the same name as the

64 bit file : libfreetype.so.6 or does it have another name?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Respectfully,
