12 years agoHi Andy,
--- Quote Start --- Here is the procedure, right? --- Quote End --- I would use a slightly different sequence. 1. Download the AVR core 2. Simulate it in Modelsim --- Quote Start --- I like Altera but it's NIOSII is just too big for a simple MCU. And it's 3.3V pin can't tolerant 5V annoys me. --- Quote End --- "Too big" depends on what you are trying to do. If the task is simple, write a state machine :) As for 3.3V vs 5V tolerance. If you are developing your own board, then that becomes a non-issue as there are bus switch devices that can be used to protect FPGA I/O. --- Quote Start --- Here is my two meter tall Robot in progress. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvmpcymyqg0 And my Iron Bear using Arduino http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_-no1ey_8a&feature=c4-overview&list=uumjlgyadhmxwnlorrffi9ww --- Quote End --- Ha! Very cool! Cheers, Dave
