idcode for stratix5 device

Hello! I'm beginning to use board HiTechGlobal HTG-S5-PCIE based Stratix5. When Quartus II Programmer executed the command Autodetect is detects the FPGA as UNKNOWN_029FB0DD. What chip Stratix5 is of such a code? In the literature Altera I have not found.

Read the HiTechGlobal literature, eg., they should have a handbook or user manual for your board, that documentation should have the FPGA part number. Use that part number to locate the IDCODE in the Stratix V Handbook.

Then use the Quartus JTAG debugger to read the IDCODE.

Are you connecting to the board with a USB-Blaster or does it have an on-board USB-Blaster? If you are using an external USB-Blaster, try using another one, perhaps you are having JTAG signal integrity issues.

    Cheers,

    Dave

There is no device with the ID code 029FB0DD - though all the Stratix V devices do have the format 029xx0DD. This makes me suspect signal integrity issues too.
