How to enable CXL IP License in Quartus with Agilex FPGA

Hello Intel FPGA Community,

I have been given a run around on how to get the CXL IP License for the R-tile in Agilex FPGA. I posted in different comunites, spend hours on the phone with Mouser, Arrow (One of the Intel support staff suggested that I reach out to Authorized distributors to get the IP License) and No one in mouser or Arrow is able to give me a quote to buy the license for CXL soft Ip.

So I am hoping that you guys will lead me to the correct person who can give me the quote and help with activating the license.

Regards

Abhilash

Thank You John for the quick reply. I am located in San Jose, CA. I sincerely hope that the sales person will reach out -- I have literally spend a lot of hours on phone and email to buy this IP License.

      Hi John,

Could you help me with the similar issue? I purchased the Agilex 7 Rtile FPGA board from mouser. My email address is [email protected] or [email protected]. I have phoned and emailed the distributor requesting where and how to purchase the CXL hard IP that this FPGA board supports. I got email response with not able to purchase. I spent hours to chase this. I would really appreciate if you can email me a solution to who I can call or email too regarding to my situation.

      Thank you

    Hi,

Thanks for the information. I am currently trying to get the local sales to contact your email.

Intel FPGA CXL IP requires a separate license purchase. In the recent release of Intel Quartus Prime Design Software, you can get access to two CXL IP variants: Type 2 and Type 3. Here are the specific IP ordering codes to have the local sales person give you a price quote on: IP-CXLTYP2 or IP-CXLTYP3DDR. This CXL IP works with any R-Tile (die rev. B0) based Agilex FPGA device or dev kit. If you are looking to use an Intel Dev. Kit, the specific version I recommend is DK-DEV-AGI027R1BES (web page link for this dev kit: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/details/fpga/development-kits/agilex/i-series/dev-agi027.html.

Before you make a decision to purchase the CXL IP, you can also work with the local sales team to provide you with a free 30-day / 60-day IP evaluation license (which assumes you already have Quartus v22.3 installed) to try out the IP.
