how slow with 16-bit ASRAM?

Dear experts, 1) What is the disadvantages by using off-chip 16-bit width Asynchronous SRAM? 2) How slow will be the performance by using 16-bit instead of 32-bit ASRAM? (2 times slower?) ...

The 16-bit SRAM will be twice as slow as the 32-bit one, yes.
