Help in getting started with ethernet (Cyclone III)

Hello,

I am totally new to FPGA's but have been playing around with a Cyclone III for couple of weeks now. I have been assigned a task toimplement an ethernet solution. I would really appreciate if somebody can give me a good reference (link, book name) to get started with it.

I tried to follow Altera's Triple Speed guide but couldnt go past first few steps. I want to learn about the clock, GMII, etc.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
