Try by enabling/disabling the clamp diode, we can limit overshoot or undershoot.See if it works.

- ADC is fine as per the report, The test for linearity confirms that. but according to datasheet page 5 Maximum Allowed undershoot to –2.0 V for input currents less than 100 mA and periods shorter than 20 ns.
However Intel is not recommending or guaranteeing the performance at Absolute Maximum Ratings.

Do you or anyone here on the forum have experience with latch up of the A/D circuitry when it is overdriven? Is that a possible result of over driving? I am trying to explain some very unusual A/D readings (intermittent and seemingly random) from some field data gathered on this design. It would appear from the data that the A/D circuitry temporarily locked up and then recovered.
