Super ContributorYour system is connected up incorrectly. This is not how the clock source component is typically used.
But the easiest thing to do with start with a reference design (GHRD). The CD download for the board has example designs and is linked through Rocketboards: https://www.rocketboards.org/foswiki/Documentation/DE10Standard
