fpga in pcb

newly I ask you...

in order to realize a printed circuit, I would want to use CADENCE PSD 14.2

there is a lybrary that contain ccylone II or i make every connection pin??

I think that many pins have a standard configuration (every vdd pin togheter, every gnd togheter, pull-up resistor, program configuration)...it exists a lybrary with this component in which I work only the pin that I want configure in a specific mode?or I will have decide more than 400 pins???

thank you for the support :)

    Hi Stefania,

I like to define my own library elements. The PCB software I use is Ultiboard from National Instruments.

The CycloneII has several I/O groups, dedicated Clock and global signal pins, Special function pins, PLL Supply and Grounds etc.

It takes soem time to define your symbol but ik makes your design easy to read and give you good control over what you are doing. If you want I can send you a pdf page as example.

    Regards,

    Andries

Thank you for the link to the cadence symbol. It saved me a lotta heat ache. I would really be interested in seeing the pdf, I would really appreciate it if you could send it to me. I need to do a pcb design using the EP2C35 fpga and this would really help me. my email is rbthakur at ksu.edu
