EPCS controller in NIOSII on cicloneIII

Dear All,

I'm trying to use an epcs controller module in a NIOSII system on a CYCLONEIII. I find out that in any case when an epcs controller is instantied on a CIII you have to connect signals to the EPCS device by yourself using the dual-purpose pins. To do so you have to specify to QUARTUS that those dual purpose pins must be used as "regular io" after configuration. my problem is that when i change that option in assignmets>device>device_and_pin options that change is not taken in account. i mean, if i colse all the windows and come back to that selection tab i always found the default option and obviously fitter gets an error.

I'm using quartus 10.0 SP1

Please, help me:(
