Honored ContributorThe circuit will basically consist of a FPGA based algorithmic control circuit which would be triggered by the signal sent by the smart meter. Then the consumption details and user's preference can be fed in the controlling circuit and it can be installed as a gateway between the home network and the meter. Now when consumption crosses the threshold value meter will send a signal to the controlling circuit which will search for devices in standby state or high consumption state.
