Cyclone V with M25P16 configuration device

Will Numonyx M25P16 work with Cyclone V AS configuration?

Can I program it through the JTAG port?

Will it work with compression?

I seem to remember a problem we had in the past where Quartus did not recognize the device ID of the Numonyx device but it worked ok when programming through the JTAG port instead of direct.

    I've used Numonyx successfully with the SFL loader on Cyclone III . . . . I believe that it should be just fine on Cyclone V. In the Altera datasheet, they have a configuration scheme shown for programming the Flash through the JTAG using the SFL. Just convert the .sof into a .jic file and set up the programmer accordingly.
