Cyclone III I/O Standards Voltage Compatibility

Can I interface devices that support the same I/O standard but different voltage levels with my Cyclone III device? For example, can I drive a DAC that uses 3.3 V LVDS with 2.5 V LVDS and 3.3 V CMOS with 2.5 V CMOS?
