Alteraforum Guru Challenge points calculation and ranking

Reputation system allows positive or negative points for good posts as feedback from other users.

Guru Challenge point system considers both quality (reputation) and quantity (number of posts).

Audit will be required to filter out false reputation and fluff posting for inflated Guru points.

Guru challenge points = <Reputation points> + <# of Posts>/2

Points calculation does not include the 10 reputation points given during joining Alteraforum.

In the end of the Guru Challenge, there will be a Nios II Embedded Evaluation Kit and a Quartus II license (1 year free subscription) for each top 5 posters. The following 5 top posters will receive an iPod shuffle each. The next 10 top posters will receive an Altera mug.

By the way, only US is eligible for the above prizes due to legal. For more information on the eligibility, prizes and schedule of the Guru Challenge, please refer to the official rules here (http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2970).

This thread will show up the top 20 winners of every week until the Guru Challenge is closed.
