altera_installer.external ERROR

sudo sh altera_installer.external.sh ?

And the shell environment seemed important also. I had to use Gnome shell. I followed a guide online for Ubuntu 12.04LTS, QII 12.1sp1 B213 and Modelsim ASE: Google "chehsunliu quartus"

I'm also on AMD64.
