Non-volatile security key programming
Hello,
Does the standalone USB-Blaster II cable support non-volatile key programming for a Cyclone 5 part?
Would an onboard integrated USB - Blaster II on a Cyclone 5 SOC-kit board support non-volatile key programming?
AN556: Using the Design Security Features in Intel FPGAs states on page 7. "Intel FPGA Download Cable II supports both volatile and non-volatile key programming". However, on the note at the bottom of page. 13 and the top of page. 14, it states "The Intel FPGA Ethernet Cable communications cable can support both volatile and non-volatile key programming whereas the Intel FPGA Download Cable is used only for volatile key programming" Is this a typo, or does there need to be another statement made about the Intel FPGA Download Cable II in this note on pages 13 and 14?
Thanks for any help you can provide.
